Age calculator
Calculate an exact age in years, months and days from a date of birth — useful for an administrative form or to know precisely how old someone is today.
How it works
Many administrative forms ask for an exact age in years, months and days (not just rounded years): a school enrollment file, an insurance application, or an age-related eligibility check. This tool calculates that difference in calendar terms — accounting for the day of the birth month and the variable length of months — between your date of birth and today's date, computed at the moment you click the button.
Why is today's date only calculated when I click?
The "today" date is determined in your browser at the moment you run the calculation, not when the page first loads. This avoids a cached version of the page (from the server or your browser) showing a date frozen in the past instead of the actual current date.
Does the calculation account for leap years?
Yes: the number of days in February is automatically adjusted depending on whether the year is a leap year, which guarantees an exact day count even for birth dates or reference dates falling in February.
The calculation runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your date of birth is never sent to a server.
