Archive Content Viewer

Drop a ZIP archive to list its contents—file names, folders, compressed and uncompressed sizes—without extracting everything to your disk. The analysis happens entirely in your browser.

Example:
Drag and drop a ZIP archive here, or click to browse. 500 MB max.

How it works

A ZIP archive contains a table of contents describing each file (name, size, date, compression ratio) even before the compressed content itself. This tool reads that table to display the archive's full structure without decompressing each file's data—handy for quickly checking what's inside a large or third-party archive before extracting it.

Does this tool extract files to my disk?

No, it only displays the list of entries and their metadata (size, compression ratio, date): no files are extracted or saved. To actually extract the content, use your usual archive manager or a dedicated extraction tool.

Does it work with password-protected archives?

No: encrypted archives cannot be analyzed without the password, and this tool does not offer a password input. An error message appears if reading the archive structure fails for that reason, or because the file is not a valid ZIP.

The archive is analyzed entirely in your browser: it is never sent or uploaded to a server.
