Audio Fade-in/Fade-out
Add an opening fade and a closing fade to a WAV file to avoid abrupt cuts at the beginning and end. Only works with 16-bit PCM WAV files (mono or stereo).
How it works
A recording that starts or stops abruptly produces an unpleasant "click" to the ear, especially in audio editing, podcasts, or music loops. This tool applies a linear volume ramp (from silence to normal volume at the beginning, from normal volume to silence at the end) over the specified durations.
What if my file is too short for the requested fades?
If the sum of the fade-in and fade-out durations exceeds the file length, both fades are automatically reduced to avoid overlapping, keeping at most half of the total duration for each.
Can I apply only a fade-in or only a fade-out?
Yes, enter 0 for the duration of the fade you don't want to apply: the other will be calculated normally.
100% local processing: fade calculation happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly—your audio is never sent to a server.
