Convert a Mono WAV to Stereo
Duplicate a mono WAV file onto two identical channels (left = right) to get a stereo file compatible with software that requires this format.
How It Works
Some video editing software or streaming platforms require a stereo audio stream, even if the source recording (a single microphone, for example) is mono. This tool simply duplicates each mono sample onto both the left and right channels, producing a stereo file that sounds identical to the original on both sides.
Will the sound be different after conversion?
No, the audio content remains identical: both channels are simple copies of each other. Only the file format changes (two channels instead of one), making it compatible with software that requires stereo.
What happens if my file is already stereo?
The tool rejects the file with an error message, since there is nothing to convert: it only accepts truly mono files (a single channel).
Conversion happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your audio is never sent to a server.
