Batch Barcode Generator
Generate one barcode per line of text or code, in Code 128 or EAN-13 format.
What is a batch barcode generator for?
This tool is mainly aimed at professional use: preparing labeling for a product catalog, generating codes for a warehouse inventory, or providing a printer with a ready-to-use series of barcodes for shelf labels. Rather than generating codes one by one with editing software, you paste a full list here (a product reference or number per line) and get all the SVG visuals at once, ready to be printed or embedded in a document.
What's the difference between a QR code and a barcode?
A classic barcode (like Code 128 or EAN-13) encodes information linearly, along a single axis, and generally contains few characters (a reference number, for example). A QR code encodes information along two axes and can store much more data (a URL, a full text). For product labeling and in-store sales, the linear barcode remains the standard because it's read by all existing checkout scanners.
Which format should I choose for a product sold in stores?
EAN-13 is the standard used by retail chains and most checkout systems in Europe: it's a 13-digit number generally assigned through an official body (GS1) if the product is to be distributed widely. Code 128 is more flexible (it accepts letters and digits) and suits internal use well (inventory, logistics, warehouse labels) that doesn't need an internationally standardized identifier.
