Convert a Base64 string to an image

Paste a data:image/...;base64,... string or raw Base64, and get a preview of the decoded image, downloadable — handy for debugging or viewing an image received encoded in an API response or a log.

Example:

How it works

Got a Base64-encoded string in an API response, a JSON file, or an application log, and just want to see what image it corresponds to without writing any code? Paste the full string (with or without the data:image/...;base64, prefix), run the decoding, and the image appears directly as a preview, ready to be downloaded.

Should I paste the "data:image/..." prefix or just the raw Base64?

Both work. If your string starts with data:image/, the tool automatically detects and ignores this prefix to decode only the useful part. If you only have the raw Base64 (no prefix), it's decoded directly.

The decoding fails, what should I do?

Check that the pasted string is complete (not truncated during copying) and that it doesn't contain characters added by mistake (quotes, line breaks in the middle of the content). A valid Base64 string only contains letters, digits, and the characters +, / and =.

100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly) — the pasted content is never sent to a server.
