"Add to Calendar" Link Generator

Generate a Google Calendar link and an Outlook link that pre-fill a new event in one click — handy for an email invitation without attaching an .ics file. The links are built entirely in your browser.

How it works

Google Calendar and Outlook both accept special URL links that open an event creation form pre-filled directly, without requiring a downloadable .ics file. Enter the title, dates, location, and a description, and the tool builds both URLs with the encoding each service expects.

Do these links work with Apple Calendar or other services?

No, these two URL formats are specific to Google Calendar and Outlook.com/Outlook on the web. For Apple Calendar or other apps, you generally need to generate a downloadable .ics file, which this tool does not currently do.

Which time zone is the event created in?

The links generated here do not enforce an explicit time zone: Google Calendar and Outlook interpret the date and time you provide according to the local time zone of the account clicking the link, which works for the vast majority of use cases (such as inviting people in the same region to a meeting).

Nothing is sent to an intermediate server: the links are assembled directly in your browser before being opened or copied.
