Clock Reading Exercises
Practice reading the time on a randomly drawn analog clock: enter the displayed time and check your answer. Three difficulty levels, from full hours to precise minutes.
How it works
An analog clock is drawn with a small hand (hours) and a large hand (minutes) positioned at a random angle according to the chosen level. Enter the time you read, then validate to get immediate feedback.
How is the hour hand positioned correctly?
The hour hand moves gradually between two numbers as the minutes pass: at 3:30, it is not exactly on the 3 but halfway between 3 and 4. That is why the tool calculates its angle taking both the hour and the elapsed minutes into account.
What do the three difficulty levels mean?
The easy level only offers full hours (e.g., 3:00), the medium level adds quarter hours (00, 15, 30, 45), and the hard level uses any minute multiple of 5, for practice closer to real time reading.
Each clock is randomly generated in your browser; no answer is recorded or sent to a server.
