Color Mixer
Mix two colors with an adjustable slider ratio and instantly get the resulting hexadecimal code — handy for finding an intermediate shade between two colors in your palette. The calculation runs entirely in your browser.
How It Works
The tool linearly interpolates each red, green, and blue component between the two chosen colors based on the slider ratio: at 0%, the result is identical to color A; at 100%, identical to color B; at 50%, a balanced mix of both. It's the same principle as a gradient, but fixed at a single precise point.
Why doesn't the mix look like paint mixing?
This tool mixes colors in RGB space (light), as a screen does, not in pigment space (paint, ink), where mixing works differently. For example, mixing blue and yellow here gives a grayish tone rather than green, unlike what you'd get with paint.
Can I lighten or darken a single color with this tool?
Yes: set color B to white to get lighter shades of color A as you increase the slider, or to black for darker shades — that's exactly what the last two examples above do.
No color or data is sent to a server: the calculation happens entirely in your browser.
