Shareable Countdown Timer Generator

Create a countdown to the date of your choice (launch, event, deadline) and get a shareable link: anyone who opens it sees the same live countdown. The link simply encodes the date in its URL — no data is stored on a server.

Example:

How it works

You pick a date, a time, and optionally a title: the tool calculates the remaining time and builds a link with that information directly in its URL (after the “?”). When someone opens the link, the page reads those parameters and regenerates the same countdown locally — no database or account required.

Does the shared link send data to a server?

No. The date, time, and title are encoded only in the URL itself (visible parameters after the “?”). When someone opens the link, their own browser reads these parameters and calculates the countdown; no information is stored on a server or linked to an account.

Will the displayed countdown be the same for everyone?

The remaining time shown depends on each person’s device clock: the target date and time are the same for everyone, but if your recipients are in different time zones, they’ll each see the countdown adjust to their own local time until the same absolute moment.

Can I edit the generated link manually?

Yes. The link uses a simple, readable format (the “date”, “time”, and “label” parameters in the URL): you can edit it manually to change the date or title before sharing, without going back through the form.

This page keeps no history of your countdowns: everything is rebuilt on every visit, from the link alone.
