Cron expression generator

Build a 5-field cron expression (minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week) to schedule an automated task. 100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly) — nothing is sent to a server.

How it works

A cron expression describes a recurring schedule with 5 fields separated by spaces: minute, hour, day of month, month, and day of week. Each field accepts a fixed value, an asterisk ("*" for "all values"), a comma-separated list, a range with a hyphen, or a step with "/". This is the format used by cron on Linux/macOS as well as by many CI/CD task schedulers.

How do I schedule a task every day at midnight?

Use 0 0 * * *: minute 0, hour 0, every day of the month, every month, every day of the week. It's one of the most common cron expressions for a daily cleanup or backup task.

How do I run a task every 15 minutes?

Use */15 in the minute field, giving */15 * * * *. The "/step" syntax works on any field to repeat a value at regular intervals.

100% local processing: generation runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — no data is sent to a server.
