Split a CSV into multiple files

Paste or upload a CSV file and specify the desired number of rows per file: the tool splits your file into several chunks, each with the original header.

How it works

Many import tools (CRM, email marketing platforms, business software) cap the number of rows accepted per file — some limit imports to 1000 rows, for example. Rather than manually splitting a large CSV export in a spreadsheet, paste or upload the full file, specify the desired number of rows per file, click "Split the file" and download each part individually or all at once.

Is the header present in every generated file?

Yes, every generated file includes the original header row, in addition to its share of data rows. This ensures each chunk remains a valid CSV that can be re-imported directly, without having to manually paste the columns back in.

How are the rows distributed among the files?

Rows are distributed in the order of the original file, in consecutive blocks of the specified size: the first file contains the first rows, the second the next ones, and so on. The last file may contain fewer rows than the others if the total doesn't divide evenly by the chosen size.
