Convert a CSV to Excel (XLSX)
Paste or upload a CSV file to get a ready-to-use Excel workbook (.xlsx).
How it works
This is a very common situation at work: a business tool, a bank, or a CRM only exports your data as raw CSV, but your colleague or client expects a real Excel file, with properly separated columns ready to use. Upload the exported CSV file (or paste its content into the text area), click "Convert to Excel" and get an .xlsx file ready to open and format.
Why does my CSV display incorrectly in Excel (accents, commas)?
Excel sometimes guesses the encoding or the separator of a CSV incorrectly, especially if the file comes from an English-speaking system (comma separator) while French Excel expects a semicolon, or if the encoding isn't UTF-8 (accented characters then turn into odd characters). By going through this tool, the CSV is interpreted once and for all and rebuilt into a real Excel workbook, avoiding these display issues.
Is the generated XLSX file normally editable in Excel/Google Sheets?
Yes, the produced file is a standard Excel workbook (.xlsx): you can open it in Excel, LibreOffice Calc, or Google Sheets, add formulas, format cells, sort or filter the data exactly like a file created directly in Excel.
Everything happens locally in your browser thanks to WebAssembly: your CSV file, which may contain sensitive data or customer information, is never sent to a server.
