How it works
Unlike a simple countdown to a deadline, this tool compares any two dates (past or future, in any order) and gives both a readable calendar breakdown (“X years, Y months, Z days”) and useful raw totals for invoicing, payroll, or planning, such as the number of working days excluding weekends.
Does the order in which I enter the dates matter?
No: the tool automatically detects which of the two dates is oldest before calculating the gap, whether you enter them in chronological order or not. The result is always a positive duration between the two dates.
How are working days counted?
The working days count treats Monday to Friday as workdays and excludes only Saturdays and Sundays; it does not take public holidays into account, since those vary by country and industry.
The calculation runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly — your dates are never sent to a server.
