Diceware Passphrase Generator

Generate a memorable passphrase by combining several randomly chosen words, a method recognized as easier to remember and type than a complex password while remaining highly resistant to brute-force attacks.

Example:

How it works

The 'diceware' method involves drawing several random words from a known word list and combining them to form a passphrase. Unlike a complex password full of special characters (difficult to remember, often reused or written down), a passphrase made of several random words offers high entropy while remaining easy to memorize and type on a keyboard.

How many words should I choose?

The more words, the more resistant the passphrase is to brute-force attacks. For everyday use, 5-6 words already provide a good level of security; to protect something critical (password manager, crypto wallet), choose 7 words or more.

Can I use this passphrase as is?

Yes, but consider using it with a password manager for your other accounts, and never reuse the same passphrase on several sensitive services. Some services also require numbers or uppercase letters: you can then slightly modify the generated passphrase.

100% local processing: the random generation happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly; no generated passphrase is ever sent to a server.
