Facebook Cover Maker
Import a photo and instantly get a Facebook cover in the exact recommended size (820 x 312 px for desktop display), automatically cropped and centered.
How It Works
The Facebook page or profile cover photo displays at 820 x 312 pixels on desktop, an extremely wide format that heavily crops vertical or square photos. This tool zooms your image until it completely covers that frame, then centers it to limit loss on the edges.
Why does my cover look different on mobile?
Facebook displays the cover differently depending on the device: about 820 x 312 px on desktop but a taller, narrower area on mobile. To keep important elements (face, text) from being cut off, keep them centered in the middle third of the image rather than at the edges.
What file size does Facebook accept for the cover?
Facebook automatically recompresses images on upload, but a JPG of a few hundred kilobytes to 1-2 MB at 820x312 generally displays without visible quality loss after platform-side compression.
Your photo is never sent to a server: the cropping is calculated locally in your browser.
