French Fake Text Generator
A lorem ipsum equivalent, but with invented words that sound French rather than pseudo-Latin, for a visual result closer to French in your mockups. 100% local generation in your browser.
How It Works
Classic lorem ipsum, based on a Latin text, gives a typographic result different from French: missing accents, different average word length, and an absence of short words like "le" or "des". This tool combines about thirty invented French-sounding words with real connectors (articles, prepositions) to produce fake text that "looks" more like French to the eye, without being understandable.
Does this text make sense in French?
No, deliberately: the invented words do not exist in the French language. The goal is simply to get a visual result (word length, punctuation, capital letters) close to French to evaluate a layout, without the reader being tempted to read the content literally.
When should I prefer this fake text to classic lorem ipsum?
Useful when presenting a mockup to a French client who might be distracted by recognizable Latin text, or when checking how a font handles accents and words of varied lengths typical of French.
Generation is done entirely in your browser: no settings or generated text is transmitted to a server.
