Favicon generator

Upload an image and automatically get every favicon size you need (16x16, 32x32, 48x48 and 180x180 for the Apple Touch icon).

Ideally a square image with good resolution (logo, icon...). Drag and drop or click to browse.

How it works

You have a logo (often a square PNG exported from Figma, Canva or design software) and need to add it to your site as a browser tab icon and a mobile home screen icon. Rather than manually resizing the file for each size, this tool generates all the expected variants in one click: 16x16 and 32x32 for the browser tab, 48x48 for Windows shortcuts, and 180x180 for the Apple Touch icon (added to the iOS home screen).

Which favicon sizes are really necessary?

In practice, 32x32 covers the majority of modern desktop browsers (high-density screens often use double that, hence 48x48), and 180x180 is the size recommended by Apple for the home screen icon on iPhone and iPad. 16x16 remains useful for old bookmarks, but is no longer strictly essential.

Where should I put the generated files on my site?

Place the downloaded PNG files at the root of your site (for example /favicon-32.png ) and reference them in the <head> of your HTML pages with <link rel="icon"> tags for the standard sizes and <link rel="apple-touch-icon"> for the 180x180 version.

Like all our tools, this generator runs 100% in your browser thanks to WebAssembly: your logo is never sent to a server.
