Fuel cost calculator

Calculate the volume of fuel needed and its cost for a trip, based on the distance, the vehicle's average consumption, and the price per liter.

Example:

How it works

Before a long car trip, it's useful to estimate the fuel budget to plan for. This tool combines the distance to travel with the vehicle's average consumption (in liters per 100 km, a figure generally provided by the manufacturer or observed by the user) to calculate the volume needed, then multiplies that volume by the price per liter to get the total cost.

Where can I find my vehicle's average consumption?

It's generally listed in the vehicle's manual or on the manufacturer's technical sheet (often around 5 to 8 L/100 km for a typical gasoline or diesel car). You can also calculate it yourself by dividing the fuel consumed during a fill-up by the distance traveled, multiplied by 100.

Does this calculation account for driving style or traffic?

No, this is an estimate based on constant average consumption. City driving, traffic jams, or aggressive driving can increase actual consumption compared to this estimate.
