How it works
This tool calculates the straight-line distance (haversine formula) between each pair of consecutive polygon points, including the segment from the last point back to the first to close the shape, then adds them all up.
It's the counterpart of the GPS polygon area calculator, useful for estimating the length of a fence, a closed trail, or the outline of a plot.
