Compress a GLB file

Reduce the size of a GLB or glTF model by limiting the resolution of its textures, directly in your browser.

Drag and drop your model here, or click to browse. 200 MB max.

How it works

In the vast majority of 3D models, high-resolution textures weigh the most, far more than the geometry itself. This tool re-encodes the file by capping every texture at the maximum resolution you choose, which greatly reduces the file size without altering its geometry.

Which resolution should I choose?

For web or mobile, 512 or 1024 px is usually enough. Reserve 2048 px for models meant to be viewed very close-up (full-screen product viewer, for example).

Is the geometry simplified?

No, only the texture resolution is reduced; the polygon count remains identical.

100% local processing: the compression happens entirely in your browser — your 3D model is never sent to a server.
