How it works
A 3D engine, CAD software, or print service only accepts OBJ, but your model is in GLB or glTF? Import the file, start the conversion: the geometry is re-exported as OBJ, ready to be reused elsewhere.
Are materials and textures preserved?
OBJ only stores geometry (and optionally a separate .mtl file for basic materials): the textures, PBR lighting, and animations of the original GLB/glTF cannot be transferred to this format and are therefore lost during conversion.
