Weighted average (GPA) calculator

Calculate your weighted average from a list of grades and their weights (credits, ECTS, subject coefficients...).

Example:

How it works

When not all grades carry the same weight (a subject with a high coefficient counts more than one with a low coefficient), a simple arithmetic average is incorrect. This tool calculates a weighted average: each grade is multiplied by its weight, the sum is divided by the sum of the weights, exactly as schools and universities do.

What happens if a line is formatted incorrectly?

Lines that don't follow the "grade, weight" format (or that contain non-numeric values) are simply ignored, without blocking the calculation for the rest of the valid lines.

Can I use decimal weights?

Yes, the weights (and grades) can be decimal numbers, for example "15.5,2.5" for a grade of 15.5 with a weight of 2.5.

The calculation runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — no data is sent to a server.
