GPX ↔ KML converter
Convert a GPX track (generic GPS format) to KML (format used by Google Earth and Google My Maps), or vice versa.
How it works
GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is an open XML-based format designed to exchange GPS tracks and points between devices and software. KML (Keyhole Markup Language) is the format used by Google Earth and Google My Maps to display geometries on a map.
This tool extracts the track points (latitude, longitude, elevation) and repackages them in the XML structure of the other format, without going through a server.
Are waypoints preserved?
This conversion focuses on the track (the continuous line of points) rather than isolated waypoints or advanced metadata (colors, styles, icons), which vary widely between software.
100% local processing: the conversion happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your track is never sent to a server.
