GPX File Statistics (Distance, Elevation Gain, Duration)
Import a .gpx file — a track exported from a GPS watch, mobile app, or route planner — and instantly get its distance, positive and negative elevation gain, minimum and maximum altitude, and duration.
How It Works
GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is an XML-based file format used to store GPS tracks, waypoints, and routes. It is exported by most sports watches and sensors, mobile apps like Strava or Komoot, and many route planners.
This tool walks through the file's track points to calculate the total distance traveled (from the GPS coordinates), the cumulative elevation gain and loss (from the altitudes), and the activity's duration (from the timestamps).
Why do some values display "—" or "Not available"?
Not all GPX files contain the same information: some do not record altitude <ele> or timestamp <time> for each point. In that case, statistics related to altitude or duration cannot be calculated and are shown as unavailable.
100% local processing: the GPX file analysis runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your track is never sent to a server.
