Timeline Generator

Add your events with a date and a title: the tool automatically generates a horizontal timeline, positioned proportionally over time, which you can export as an SVG image to use in a presentation or study sheet.

Example:

Add at least 2 events with a date and title to generate the timeline.

How it works

Each added event is positioned on a horizontal line proportionally to its time gap with the other events: two close dates will appear close together on the timeline, two distant dates will be more spaced out. Titles alternate above and below the line to remain readable.

How many events can I add?

There’s no fixed limit: add as many rows as you need with the “+ Add an event” button. At least two events with a date and a title are needed to calculate a proportional spacing.

What format can I export my timeline to?

The timeline is exported as SVG, a vector image that remains sharp at any display or print size, and that can be opened in most presentation or image-editing software.

Your events and dates stay only in your browser: the timeline is generated and exported locally, with no transmission to a server.
