HowTo Schema Generator (JSON-LD)

Describe a step-by-step tutorial to generate the HowTo JSON-LD code to insert in your page, so you can get an enhanced display (rich snippet) in Google results.

Example:
Examples: PT15M (15 min), PT1H30M (1h30), PT2H (2h).

The tutorial title is required.

How it works

The HowTo type from schema.org lets Google display your tutorial steps directly in search results as an expandable list. Fill in the title, an optional description, the total duration, and each step (name, text, optional image): the tool builds a valid JSON-LD object with numbered positions automatically.

Where should I place this JSON-LD code?

Paste the result into a <script type="application/ld+json">...</script> tag in the <head> or <body> of the page that actually contains this tutorial as visible content: Google requires consistency between structured data and the content displayed to the user.

Is the duration format (totalTime) required?

No, this field is optional but recommended. It follows the ISO 8601 duration format: for example PT20M for 20 minutes, PT1H30M for 1 hour 30, or PT2H for 2 hours. The "PT" means "period of time" and must always be present as a prefix.

100% local processing: your tutorial content is never sent to a server; all calculations happen in your browser.
