HTML Link Extractor
Paste an HTML snippet to extract all <a href> links and automatically sort them into internal, external or other links (mailto, tel, javascript...).
How it works
Before a redesign or SEO audit, it is often helpful to quickly list all the links in a page fragment to spot broken links, unwanted external links, or check internal linking. This tool extracts every href and classifies it as pointing to your own domain (internal), another site (external), or something else like an email address or phone number.
How is a link classified as "internal"?
A link is considered internal if it starts with / or # (relative path or anchor), or if its URL contains the domain name you provided. Otherwise, if it starts with http://, https://, or //, it is classified as external; the rest (mailto:, tel:, javascript:...) is classified as "other".
Why specify the domain name?
Without a reference domain, a tool cannot tell whether an absolute link like https://example.com/page points to your own site or to a third-party site. By entering your domain, these absolute links to your own site are correctly classified as internal rather than external.
100% local processing: your HTML snippet is never sent to a server; all extraction happens in your browser.
