HTML Meta Tag Extractor

Paste an HTML snippet (for example a page's <head>) to list all the <meta> tags it contains, with their key (name, property or charset) and their content.

Example:

How it works

Meta tags carry important information for SEO (description, robots), encoding (charset), or social sharing (Open Graph). During a page audit, it's useful to list them all at once rather than search for them one by one in the source code. This tool extracts every <meta> tag and shows its key (name or property, or :charset for encoding) and its content.

Why don't some meta tags appear in the results?

A <meta> tag without a recognized content or charset attribute (for example a viewport tag with non-standard syntax) has no usable content to display and is therefore ignored by this tool.

What is the difference between name and property in a meta tag?

The name attribute is used for standard HTML metadata like description or robots, while property is used by the Open Graph protocol (og:title, og:image...) and some other RDFa vocabularies. This tool treats both the same way.

100% local processing: your HTML snippet is never sent to a server; all extraction happens in your browser.
