Remove background (magic wand)
Click on the background color directly in your image preview: all nearby pixels of that color become transparent, with adjustable tolerance, just like the magic wand tool in photo editing software.
How it works
After you click a pixel in the preview, the tool stores its exact color as a reference, then compares that reference with every pixel in the whole image: any pixel whose color is close enough (according to the chosen tolerance) becomes transparent. This is the same principle as the magic wand tool in photo editing software, in a simplified version (without contiguous propagation).
What if the background isn't perfectly uniform?
If the background has slight gradients, noise, or JPEG compression, increase the tolerance to cover these variations. If some background areas are still visible after a first attempt, click on one of those areas again and run the process once more.
Why isn't the result contiguous like a real magic wand?
This tool removes every pixel of a similar color throughout the entire image, even inside the subject (for example, blue eyes if the background is blue), unlike a classic magic wand which only selects a connected area. It's a trade-off that remains very effective on solid backgrounds and logos.
100% local processing: color selection and transparency calculation are performed entirely in your browser — your image is never sent to a server.
