Blur an area or face in a photo

Draw an ellipse by click-dragging over a face or any other area to hide in your photo, then apply a localized Gaussian blur — repeat on several areas before downloading the result.

Example:

How it works

After drawing an ellipse around the area to hide, the tool computes a blurred version (box blur) of that region, then overlays it on the original with a soft gradient on the ellipse edges for a natural look without harsh transitions. Repeat as many times as needed to blur multiple faces or areas in the same photo.

Can I blur multiple faces in the same photo?

Yes: apply the blur to a first area, then draw a new ellipse elsewhere on the photo and click "Apply" again. Each blurred area is added to the displayed image, and the blurred-area counter updates after each application.

Can the blur be undone after it is applied?

No, once the blur is applied to an area, it is integrated into the displayed image. Reload the original photo (or the example) to start over if you are not happy with the result.

100% local processing: the blur is computed entirely in your browser; your photo is never sent to or stored on a server.
