Adjust the color temperature of a photo
Warm up (more orange) or cool down (more blue) the mood of a photo with a single slider, by simultaneously adjusting its red and blue channels.
How it works
The slider goes from -100 (cold) to +100 (warm). The tool converts this value into an offset that it adds to the red channel and subtracts from the blue channel of each pixel (a positive offset warms the image by boosting red and reducing blue; a negative offset does the reverse and cools the image). The green channel stays unchanged, as with most temperature sliders in photo editing.
What's the difference with white balance?
White balance automatically calculates a precise correction from a gray reference point you click in the image, to neutralize an existing cast. Color temperature, on the other hand, is a manual and creative adjustment: you deliberately choose to warm up or cool down the mood, even if the image was already neutral.
Can I apply a very light warming for a subtle effect?
Yes, small values (around 10 to 20) are often enough to give a warmer mood without the change being glaring. Extreme values (close to 100) are more suited to highly stylized or creative effects.
100% local processing: adjusting the red and blue channels is done entirely in your browser — your photo is never sent to a server.
