Flip an image (mirror)

Flip your images horizontally or vertically, for example to correct the mirror effect of a webcam. 100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly) — nothing is sent to a server.

How it works

Does your webcam or your phone's front camera record the image mirrored (text appears reversed), or did you scan a document the wrong way round? Upload one or more images, choose the direction (horizontal or vertical), then run the flip: the image is reversed along the chosen axis, with no loss of quality.

What's the difference between horizontal and vertical flip?

A horizontal flip reverses the image from left to right, like a mirror standing upright — the most common effect to fix on a webcam photo or a selfie. A vertical flip reverses the image from top to bottom, useful for example for an image scanned upside down.

Does flipping reduce quality?

No. Flipping an image only rearranges the existing pixels along an axis of symmetry, with no recalculation or additional compression: the image's quality and sharpness stay identical to the original.

100% local processing: the flip is performed in your browser via our WebAssembly module — your images are never sent to a server.
