JPG Quality Optimizer

Recompress your JPG photos by precisely adjusting the quality slider, with the final file size displayed even before you download the result.

Example:
The lower the value, the lighter the file — at the cost of visible sharpness loss.
Up to 40 files, 40 MB max each.

How to choose the right quality level?

The quality slider directly controls the trade-off between file size and visual fidelity. A quality of 70 to 85 suits most web uses (good rendering, reasonable size), while going below 50 becomes visible in fine-detail areas (text, faces, textures), but may be acceptable for simple thumbnails.

Can I compare several quality levels before choosing?

Yes, change the slider value and run the compression again: the resulting file size shown under each image lets you quickly compare multiple settings before downloading the version that suits you best.

Can compression make the file heavier than the original?

That's possible if your original JPG was already heavily compressed at a quality close to or lower than the requested one: in that case, raise the slider or keep the original file, which is already optimal.

100% local processing: compression is done entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, your photos are never sent to a server.
