Mirror tile pattern
Repeat a pattern as a mirror image across a grid to create a symmetrical tiling like wallpaper or floor tiles: each adjacent cell is flipped horizontally and/or vertically so the edges line up visually.
How it works
Your image is repeated across a grid of adjustable columns and rows. To create a symmetrical, tile-like seam effect, every odd column is flipped horizontally and every odd row is flipped vertically, so the adjacent edges of the cells mirror each other instead of simply repeating identically.
What kind of image works best as a pattern?
Patterns with shapes or textures that reach the edges of the image (foliage, geometric shapes, organic textures) give the most convincing results, because the mirror effect creates smooth seams. A photo with an isolated, centered subject will instead produce a repeated kaleidoscope effect.
How big will the final image be?
Each grid cell is resized to a fixed width of 200 px (with the height calculated to preserve your image's proportions), so the final image is about 200 px multiplied by the number of columns wide.
The tile pattern is generated entirely in your browser: your image is never sent to a server.
