Round the corners of an image
Round the corners of one or more images with an adjustable radius, exporting a PNG with transparency.
How it works
Want to include a profile photo or an icon with soft corners in an interface, without relying on CSS to do it (for example for an export or a share)? Set the desired radius and the tool makes the pixels outside the rounded rectangle transparent, producing a PNG file.
Why is the result always a PNG?
Rounded corners require transparency (an alpha channel) to hide the removed areas of the image, and only the PNG format (among common formats) reliably supports transparency natively. That's why the output file is always a PNG, regardless of the original format.
What happens if the radius is very large?
A radius greater than half the width or height of the image gives a result close to a circle or an ellipse, since the four rounded corners end up meeting in the center.
100% local processing: the rounding is applied in your browser via our WebAssembly module — your images are never sent to a server.
