Replace transparency with a color
Give a transparent PNG image a solid color background and download the result flattened into a single file, ready to use wherever transparency isn't supported.
How it works
The tool first draws a rectangle filled with your chosen color over the whole image frame, then places your transparent image on top: opaque areas hide the background, while transparent or semi-transparent areas let the chosen color show through underneath, with proportional blending for anti-aliased edges.
What happens if my image has no transparency?
If the imported image is already fully opaque (a JPEG, for example), the result will be identical to the original: no area lets the chosen background color show through, since nothing is transparent.
Can I use this tool to prepare a thumbnail or a social media image?
Yes, it's a common use: many platforms don't display transparency correctly or force a white background by default. By applying your own brand color beforehand, you keep full control over the final result.
100% local processing: the background is composited entirely in your browser — your image is never sent to a server.
