Replace transparency with white

Add a solid white background behind a transparent PNG image in one click, and export the result as PNG or JPG — handy before sending an image to a printer or a platform that doesn't accept transparency.

Example:
Drag and drop an image here, or click to browse (25 MB max).

How it works

It's a handy shortcut of the “replace transparency with a color” tool, with white preselected and direct export as JPG (a format that doesn't support transparency anyway, so it's ideal here) or flattened PNG. The image is redrawn onto a solid white background before export, ensuring a perfectly white background no matter which software opens it later.

Why export as JPG instead of PNG?

JPG usually produces smaller files for photos, which is practical for emailing or uploading to forms with a size limit. On the other hand, it doesn't handle any transparency: once the white background is applied, this choice doesn't change anything visually, only the file size and compatibility.

Is the applied white a true pure white?

Yes, the tool uses exactly the color #FFFFFF (pure RGB white) as the background, which matches the standard white used by most documents, forms, and print templates.

100% local processing: the white background composition and export happen entirely in your browser — your image is never sent to a server.
