Repeated diagonal watermark

Cover an entire image with a repeated diagonal mosaic watermark, like on “confidential” documents or portfolio photos. Opacity, angle, and spacing adjust in real time.

Drag and drop an image here, or click to browse (25 MB max).

How it works

The entered text is duplicated in a regular grid over an area larger than the image, then the whole set is tilted according to the chosen angle before being overlaid on the original image: this guarantees complete coverage, even in the corners, no matter which angle is selected.

Why is the mosaic wider than the visible image?

Because the text grid is tilted after being drawn, its corners would stick out of the frame if it only covered the exact size of the image. The tool therefore generates a larger text area (based on the image diagonal) before rotation, so no corner remains empty after the tilt.

What spacing should I choose to keep text from overlapping?

Increase the horizontal and vertical spacing if the entered text is long or the font size is large, so the repetitions don't overlap unreadably. In general, spacing of at least 1.5 to 2 times the text width gives a clean result.

100% local processing: the watermark mosaic is generated directly in your browser; your image is never sent to a server.
