Lossless WebP converter
Convert your PNG, JPG, or BMP files to WebP without degrading a single pixel: each image is re-encoded using WebP's lossless mode, solely for better compatibility and sometimes a smaller file size.
What is lossless WebP?
The WebP format offers two compression modes: a “lossy” mode (like JPG, adjustable via a quality setting) and a “lossless” mode that rebuilds the image strictly identical to the original, pixel by pixel, like PNG. This tool uses exclusively the lossless mode: no visual information is sacrificed.
Is a lossless WebP file always smaller than the original PNG?
Often, but not always: WebP's lossless compression algorithm is generally more efficient than PNG's, especially on images with large flat areas or gradients, but the gain varies depending on the image content.
Why not just use lossy WebP mode?
Lossy mode produces even smaller files but slightly degrades the image, like JPG. Lossless mode is preferable when exact pixel-level fidelity matters: logos, screenshots, illustrations with text or solid color areas.
100% local conversion via WebAssembly: no image is sent to a server, and the WebP file stays on your device from start to finish.
