Anonymize values in JSON

Replace the value of selected keys (email, password, phone...) with *** everywhere in a JSON, including nested objects.

Example:
Comma-separated key names, case-sensitive.

How it works

Useful before sharing an excerpt of logs, a database or an API response in a ticket, a team message or a documentation example, without exposing real personal data. List the key names to mask (comma-separated): wherever they appear in the JSON, even in nested objects, their value becomes ***.

Are nested arrays and objects handled properly?

Yes, the tool recursively walks the whole structure: objects inside objects, objects inside arrays, and so on. A sensitive key will be masked no matter how deep it sits in the document.

Does a key name have to match exactly?

Yes, matching is exact and case-sensitive ("Email" and "email" are treated as two different keys) — make sure to list the key names exactly as they appear in your JSON.

100% local processing: the anonymization happens entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your sensitive data never leaves your device.
