Remove null values from JSON
Clean up a JSON document by recursively removing all object keys whose value is null, as well as null elements in arrays.
How it works
Many APIs return JSON objects filled with null fields for missing data, which needlessly bloats the payload or makes a debugging payload harder to read. This tool recursively walks the whole document — nested objects, arrays — and removes every key whose value is null, as well as every array element that is itself null, keeping only the data that is actually there.
Are deeply nested nulls removed too?
Yes, removal is fully recursive: whether the null is at the root, in an object nested several levels deep, or in an array, it is removed the same way.
Are 0, false or "" values removed as well?
No, only the literal null value is targeted. "Empty" but valid values such as 0, false or an empty string "" are kept as they are, because they represent real data rather than a lack of data.
Cleanup runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, and your JSON is never sent to a server.
