Validate JSON against a JSON Schema
Check that a JSON document follows the rules defined in a JSON Schema: types, required fields, allowed values (enum), numeric bounds and text patterns. Each violation is listed with the exact path of the field concerned.
How it works
A JSON Schema describes the expected shape of a JSON document: which fields are required, what type each value must have, and which bounds or patterns to respect. Paste your schema on the left and the document to validate on the right, then click "Validate": each deviation is reported with the exact path of the faulty field (for example address.city).
Which JSON Schema keywords are supported?
This tool covers the most common keywords: type (including integer), required, properties, items, enum, minimum/maximum, minLength/maxLength and pattern. More advanced keywords from the JSON Schema standard ($ref, oneOf, allOf, additionalProperties, custom formats…) are not yet implemented in this lightweight validator — for strict compliance with the full specification, use a dedicated server-side library.
How is the "required" field checked?
For each key listed in required, the tool simply checks that it is present in the corresponding object, regardless of its value (even null counts as present). A missing key triggers an error with the message "missing required property".
100% local processing: validation runs entirely in JavaScript in your browser — your schema and your data never leave your device.
