Sort JSON keys
Sort the keys of a JSON object alphabetically, at every nesting level, to make comparing or reading it easier.
How it works
Want to compare two JSON configuration files with a diff tool, but the key order differs and clutters the comparison? Or do you simply prefer more predictable reading of your JSON files? Sorting alphabetically reorders the keys of all objects, at any depth, without changing the values or the order of elements in arrays.
Are arrays sorted too?
No, only the order of object keys is changed. The order of elements inside arrays is always preserved, because it may be meaningful (a list of ordered steps, for example).
Is the sort case-sensitive?
Yes, the sort uses standard lexicographic order, in which uppercase letters come before lowercase ones (for example "Z" before "a").
100% local processing: sorting runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — your JSON data never leaves your device.
