Convert JSON to TOML
Paste a JSON object and get its equivalent in TOML format, used by Cargo (Rust), Poetry (Python) and many configuration files, among others. 100% local processing in your browser (WebAssembly) — nothing is sent to a server.
How it works
TOML is a human-readable configuration format used by many tools (Cargo.toml in Rust, pyproject.toml in Python). If you already have your data as JSON — for example exported from an API or another tool — this tool converts it directly into valid TOML, with nested objects turned into tables and arrays kept as they are.
Why does the conversion fail on some JSON?
TOML doesn't support the null value: if your JSON contains a null field, you need to remove it or give it a default value before converting. Likewise, the root of the JSON document must be an object (not an array or a scalar value), because TOML always represents a configuration as a table.
Is the key order preserved in the generated TOML?
The order may vary slightly from the original JSON depending on how toml::to_string_pretty arranges tables and sub-tables, but all the data and its hierarchical structure are preserved exactly.
100% local processing: conversion runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, and your JSON is never sent to a server.
