Remove line breaks from text
Remove all line breaks from text pasted from a PDF or a badly formatted email, with the option to replace them with a space so words don't run together. 100% local processing, nothing is sent to a server.
How it works
Very handy when you copy a paragraph from a PDF and every visual line of the document becomes a separate line in the pasted text, breaking the formatting. Paste your text, choose whether line breaks should be replaced with a space or simply removed, then click the button.
Should I replace line breaks with a space or just remove them?
In the vast majority of cases, replace them with a space: otherwise the end of one line gets stuck directly to the start of the next, forming an incorrect word (for example "sentenceStart" instead of "sentence Start"). Pure removal is mostly useful for technical data such as code without meaningful spaces.
Why merge multiple spaces?
When each line break is replaced with a space, text that already has spaces at the end or start of lines can end up with several consecutive spaces. The "Merge multiple spaces" option automatically cleans up these duplicates to give you clean, consistent text.
The text you process never leaves your browser: nothing is sent to a server.
