llms.txt file generator
Fill in your site name, a summary and link sections to generate a llms.txt file in structured Markdown, designed to guide the AI assistants that consult your site.
The site name is required.
How it works
The llms.txt file is an emerging convention that offers, in simple structured Markdown, a summary of your site and links to its most important pages — designed to be easily read by AI assistants rather than forcing them to crawl all of your site's HTML. Enter a summary and optional details, then organize your links by section: the tool generates the file in the recommended format (H1 title, summary blockquote, H2 sections with link lists).
Where should I put the generated file?
Place it at the root of your site, at /llms.txt (for example https://example.com/llms.txt), much like the robots.txt file.
Does this file replace the sitemap or robots.txt?
No, it complements them. sitemap.xml and robots.txt are aimed primarily at traditional search engine crawlers, whereas llms.txt is specifically meant to give condensed, readable context to the generative AI systems that consult your site to answer questions.
How many sections and links should I include?
There is no required number: favor a small number of clear sections (documentation, guides, about...) containing your most representative pages rather than an exhaustive list of all your site's URLs, to keep it readable and concise.
