How it works
LocalBusiness markup helps Google understand the identity, address, opening hours and price range of a physical business, in addition to (not instead of) your Google Business Profile listing. Fill in the contact details and the hours for each day: days marked "closed" are excluded, and only days with valid hours are included in the result.
Does this markup replace my Google Business Profile listing?
No. The Google Business Profile listing remains the main tool for appearing in Google Maps and the local pack. LocalBusiness markup on your site serves as a consistent complementary signal, particularly for search engines other than Google and to reinforce the consistency of information (address, hours) across your different online presences.
Do I need to fill in the latitude and longitude?
It's optional, but recommended if you know them precisely: they allow exact positioning on a map without relying solely on automatic geocoding of the text address, which can sometimes be inaccurate for certain addresses.
Privacy: the information you enter stays in your browser, and no data is sent to a server.
