How it works
When building the mockup of a website or an application, you often need to fill text areas before even having the final content, in order to judge the layout, block sizes or the readability of the typography. Choose the desired number of paragraphs and words, generate, then copy the result directly into your mockup.
Why use Latin rather than text in my own language?
Lorem Ipsum is deliberately derived from an ancient Latin text that's barely understandable as-is: this prevents readers (or yourself) from starting to read and judge the content instead of focusing on the layout, spacing and visual hierarchy, which are the real purpose of a mockup.
Is the generated text exactly the same every time?
The first paragraph always begins with the traditional opening sentence ("Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit"), as in most generators. The following words are then drawn from a bank of classic Latin vocabulary in a deterministic way, so that the result stays reproducible for the same number of paragraphs and words.
Generation is performed 100% locally in your browser (WebAssembly) — no data is sent to a server.
