How it works

Organizing a meeting with colleagues spread across several continents often requires several mental back-and-forths between time zones. This tool calculates, from a date/time and a reference timezone, the corresponding local time in each of the cities you select, and flags in red the times that fall early in the morning, late in the evening, or at night, to spot at a glance the participants penalized by the chosen slot.

Does the tool automatically handle daylight saving time?

No. The offsets used here are fixed UTC offsets per city, which don't change automatically with the season. Some cities (Paris, New York) change their clocks twice a year while others (Tokyo, Dubai) never apply a time change: check the season of your meeting and adjust the selected reference timezone accordingly if needed.

Why do some cities show "(next day)" or "(previous day)"?

With a large time difference, a meeting scheduled late in the day in one city can fall early the next morning in a city far to the east, or the previous evening for a city far to the west. This note helps you avoid inviting a participant on the wrong calendar day.

No calendar or participant information is sent anywhere: all the calculation happens in your browser.
